End the suffering of captive wildlife at roadside zoos in Quebec
Despite repeated incidents of negligence and animal cruelty at roadside zoos across Quebec over the last decade, the government has failed to enact strong regulations to protect wild animals and prevent future incidents. As a result of this failure, Humane World for Animals recently had to intervene to rescue seven desperate lions from euthanasia at a deplorable roadside zoo in Quebec.
It is time for the Quebec government to finally put an end to roadside zoos and stop this suffering for good. Help us ensure that no animal suffers at the hands of roadside zoos in Quebec ever again.
Urge the Quebec government today to place an immediate moratorium on the issuance of permits for unaccredited zoos in Quebec and enact strong regulations to protect captive wild animals, including ending the captivity of elephants, great apes and big cats.
